Problems of the Arab World Dr. Kamel Abu-Jaber (Political Science Ph.D., Maxwell School, 1965) is President of the Jordan Institute for Middle Eastern Studies. He has previously served as the Jordanian Minister of Economics (1973), Minister of Foreign Affairs (1991-1993), Senator in the Jordan Upper House of Parliament (1993-1997), President of the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy (1997-2001) and Professor of Political Science at the University of Jordan (1971-1985). Dr. Jaber has written numerous books on Jordan, Israel, Syria, and Palestine and led the Jordanian-Palestinian delegation to the Madrid Conference in 1991.
